2.9(화) 13:39경 뉴질랜드 남섬(St.Arnaud와 Kaikoura 중간지점)에서 규모 5.7의 강진이 발생하였습니다. 금번 지진은 진앙지로 부터 200km 가까이 떨어진 웰링턴에서도 건물이 흔들릴 정도의 강진이었으나, 우리 교민포함 인명피해등 심각한 피해는 없는 것으로 발표되었습니다.

Magnitude 5.7 earthquake in South Island
On 9 Feb(13:39), stong earthquake of 5.7 struck in South Island(35km Southeast of St. Arnaud). Over 2000 people, including those in Wellington and Auckland, have reported feeling the quake on the GeoNet website.
There were no reports of damage or casualty in the area.
